Creating an Account

  1. Go to valthentic.com/signup
  2. Enter your email and create a password
  3. Verify your email address via the link sent to you
  4. Complete the onboarding wizard

Setting Up Your Company

During onboarding, you'll set up your company profile:

  • Company Name: Your business name
  • Industry: Helps us provide relevant benchmarks
  • Currency: Your primary reporting currency
  • Fiscal Year Start: For annual reporting alignment

Quick Start Guide

  1. Create your account and company
  2. Add your first month of data (revenue, customers, spend)
  3. View your calculated metrics on the dashboard
  4. Add historical data for trend analysis
  5. Invite your team to collaborate

Manual Data Entry

Navigate to Data → Manual Input to enter metrics manually:

  • Select the time period (month)
  • Enter revenue, costs, and customer data
  • Add channel-level spend if applicable
  • Save to calculate metrics automatically

LTV Calculation

Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) is calculated as:

LTV = (ARPU × Gross Margin) ÷ Monthly Churn Rate

Where:

  • ARPU: Average Revenue Per User (monthly)
  • Gross Margin: (Revenue - COGS) ÷ Revenue
  • Monthly Churn Rate: Churned Customers ÷ Total Customers

CAC Calculation

Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) is calculated as:

CAC = Total Sales & Marketing Spend ÷ New Customers Acquired

LTV:CAC Ratio

The LTV:CAC ratio shows your return on customer acquisition:

LTV:CAC = Customer Lifetime Value ÷ Customer Acquisition Cost

Benchmarks:

  • Below 1:1 — Losing money on each customer
  • 1:1 to 3:1 — Needs improvement
  • 3:1 to 5:1 — Healthy and sustainable
  • Above 5:1 — May be under-investing in growth

Team Management

Invite team members from Settings → Team:

  • Owner: Full access, can delete company
  • Admin: Full access except billing
  • Editor: Can add and edit data
  • Viewer: Read-only access

Dashboard Sharing (Pro)

Create shareable links for investors or stakeholders:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Share
  2. Click "Create Share Link"
  3. Optionally add password protection
  4. Set an expiration date if needed
  5. Copy and share the link
